01 / Origin

Ebelenzewi Kenechukwu Melvin — a Nigerian artist from Anambra State, born and raised in Lagos. The city is the first instrument: its noise, its cadence, its restlessness.

02 / Beginnings

The journey started in 2022 with freestyles for classmates — voice first, everything else later. Confidence built one hallway performance at a time until a sound of his own began to surface.

03 / The Craft

In 2023 he began recording and releasing covers on BandLab, using the phone in his pocket as a studio and every re-take as a lesson. Versatility became the discipline.

04 / Debut

Later that year he released his debut single, “Popup” — the first record with his name on it, and the moment the project stopped being a hobby and became a body of work.

05 / Influence

Wizkid’s ease, Rema’s ambition, Omah Lay’s intimacy — three compasses. The direction is his own: cinematic Afro-leaning songs written with the patience of someone who has waited to be heard.
